Hirosaki Castle tower is the only one castle tower in Tohoku area which rebuilt at Edo Period. Hirosaki Castle is also famous for its cherry blossoms with over 2600 trees, the largest scale in Japan. The “Hirosaki Sakura-Matsuri” cherry blossom festival is held at the castle from late April to early May every year when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.
